Several good pain apps can be used for free, at least to begin with.

Free to use

  • Migraine Buddy – a migraine diary, free with premium as an extra.
  • Bearable and Manage My Pain – free diaries with a paid version for more.

Free to start

  • PFU Pocket – pick an area, rate it 0–10, try one guided step and rate it again. Premium and Premium+ come with a 7-day free trial.
  • Curable – free intro lessons, then a subscription.
  • Kaia – free download, then a subscription or access through a partner.

Our advice

Start free, and only pay once you can see it gives you something. A good app makes it easy to see whether it actually helps.
